Crypto reconciliation · NZ & Australia

Every exchange and wallet, reconciled into one clean report.

Scattered exports, missing transfers, staking rewards nobody recorded. I pull your crypto history together, fix the gaps and hand your accountant a report they can actually use. Read-only access only. I never ask for your keys.

Exchanges are now collecting data for Inland Revenue

Under the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework, crypto exchanges have been collecting user information since 1 April 2026, with the first reports to Inland Revenue due by 30 June 2027. Clean records now mean no surprises later.

Who it's for

If your crypto history is a tangle, you're not alone.

Investors and traders

Several exchanges, a hardware wallet, coins moved between them for years. You need one accurate picture before your accountant can do anything.

Stakers and node runners

Staking rewards, node rewards and airdrops arrive constantly in small amounts. Each one needs a value and a date, and most people never recorded them.

Businesses holding crypto

Crypto on the balance sheet, or customers paying in crypto. I post clean summary journals into Xero so your books and your wallets agree.

Packages

Priced per tax year, by how much activity you have.

You'll get a fixed price in writing after the free check-up, before any work starts. Crypto tax software is paid separately, directly to the provider.

How it works

Fully remote. Everything in writing.

Free written check-up

Tell me by email which exchanges, wallets and chains you've used, and roughly how active you've been. I reply with a fixed price.

You share read-only data

CSV exports or read-only API keys from your exchanges, and public wallet addresses. I'll send step-by-step instructions for each one.

I reconcile and report

I import, match and fix everything, then send the report and working files to you and your accountant.

I never ask for keys

No seed phrases, no private keys, no withdrawal permissions. Ever. Anyone who asks for those is not someone to trust.

I don't give tax advice

In New Zealand, whether crypto gains are taxable depends on your circumstances. Your accountant or tax agent decides that. I give them accurate numbers to work from.

I don't give investment opinions

I'll never tell you what to buy, sell or hold. My job is your records, not your portfolio.

Software

The crypto tax software I work with

Both connect to most exchanges and wallets and produce reports for New Zealand and Australia. You hold the subscription in your own name, so you keep access to your data.

Koinly

Widely used, with a large range of exchange and wallet connections. A good fit for most investors and traders.

Paid plans per tax year. Check current pricing on their site.

Questions

Straight answers

Do I still need an accountant?

Yes. I prepare and reconcile your records; your accountant or tax agent decides how they're taxed and files your return. Clean records usually make their job faster and their bill smaller.

Is it safe to give you access?

I only use CSV exports, read-only API keys and public wallet addresses. None of these can move your funds. I'll never ask for a seed phrase or private key.

I'm in Australia. Can you help?

Yes. I prepare and reconcile your records, and your registered tax agent handles the tax side and your return.

My records go back years and some exchanges have closed.

Common. I'll work with whatever exports and wallet histories still exist, and flag anything that can't be rebuilt so your accountant can decide how to handle it.

Do I have to use the software you recommend?

No. If you already use a crypto tax tool, I can work in that instead. My price is the same either way.
